King County Library Student Accounts

As you may know, the Issaquah School District partners with the King County Library to offer student accounts. Through these student accounts, students can access some great databases, eBooks and more.

  • The Student Account number is the Issaquah School District’s three-digit number 411 followed by the student’s seven-digit student ID number. (The student’s ID number can be found in Family Access. Please note that if the student number is only six digits, a leading zero will be required.)

  • The PIN number is the last four digits of the student’s ID.

For example, a student with a student ID of 345678 would be:

Barcode:  4110345678                     PIN/Password:  5678

Some of the databases we suggest include:

TumbleBook Library – this site contains a lot of entertaining stories that include a read-along feature. This is a kid-friendly website.

BookFlix Video Storybooks this is a similar site which contains paired books, one fiction and one nonfiction. The storybooks also include a read-along feature. There are many fun choices here for 1st-3rd graders!

Britannica Online for Kids – this is a quality encyclopedia for students in grades 3-5.

To access these and other KCLS resources, click on the link below, then...

  • Click on Elementary School Students.

  • To access Tumblebook Library, BookFlix and Britannica Online for Kids, click on Databases.

  • Please wait to be prompted to log in. Do NOT use the log-in screen in the upper-right corner.

  • Select the desired database. THEN you will be prompted to log in.

There are many wonderful and high-quality resources.  Please note!  Some of the resources may be intended for older students.

We teach our students to ask adults for help in finding “just right” resources. Thank you for supporting your child!

Sora e-Books and Audio Books

The Discovery library offers readers the opportunity to listen to or read books online. Sora is our district online library, filled with hundreds of popular titles that are often checked out in our own library.

  • Sora not only compiles a district library for students, but can directly link our KCLS accounts so that students only have to visit Sora to access all of the titles available to them (toggling between the ISD and KCLS collections).

  • Any books that students have checked out using the “borrow” button will appear on their personal shelf, and disappear after the return date.

  • To motivate students, Sora will track how many books they have read, and the time spent reading on Sora.

Students can easily access Sora through the Clever Account. Simply login to your Clever account and find the Sora app under "library". Please watch the short video to help you set up your Sora account if needed.
